Josh Wallaert
Josh Wallaert is the associate editor of Places and a writer working at the edge of language and landscape. His short stories and poems have appeared in
TriQuarterly,
Southern Review,
Gettysburg Review,
Shenandoah,
Black Warrior Review, and other journals. He co-directed the documentary
Arid Lands (2007), hailed in the
Chronicle of Higher Education as one of "today's best environmental films." He has an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Minnesota.
Josh grew up in Cheshire, Oregon, in the Long Tom watershed of the Willamette Valley. He has lived in Portland, Minneapolis, and Vancouver, and currently lives in San Francisco.
