Projects range in scale from exhibition design to institutional buildings with work sited both locally and internationally. SUMO has received the Emerging Voices and Young Architects awards from the Architectural League of New York as well as being recognized by Architectural Record
in their annual “Design Vanguard” issue. In 2013, SUMO was chosen by Architect Magazine
as one of the top ten design firms in the country. Both partners, Yolande Daniels and Sunil Bald, are also committed educators, having taught design, theory and visualization at institutions including Yale, Columbia, MIT, Parsons, Cornell and the University of Michigan.
