Alejandro Cartagena

Alejandro Cartagena is a photographer.

His work has been exhibited in solo and group shows in New York, Portland, Austin, Toronto, Mexico City, the Dominican Republic and China. He has received awards including PDN’s 30, PhotoLucida’s Critical Mass Photo Book Award (2010), Jen Bekman Gallery's Hey Hot Shot Award (2009) and Mexico's FONCA grant (2008). Born in the Dominican Republic, he lives and works in Monterrey, Mexico, where he is pursuing an M.F.A. at the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo León, Mexico (2011).
