Amelia Lacy

Amelia Lacy is a writer and actor living in Zionsville, Indiana. The daughter of Gene and Jackie Lacy, Amelia grew up in the Indianapolis area with her two sisters Lisa and Laura who went on to become artists and designers. She devotes much of her time to raising funds and awareness to fight Alzheimer’s, the disease to which Jackie Lacy succumbed in 2010.

Brothers James and Jon Sholly operate the Indianapolis graphic design studio Commercial Artisan. Commercial Article, the studio’s offshoot publication, explores the lives and careers of regional design figures whose stories and achievements are not widely known. Amelia Lacy’s profile of her parents originally appeared in the first issue of Commercial Article in 2005.
