studied industrial design at India’s National Institute of Design (NID). He consulted on industrial design and visual merchandising projects with leading manufacturers and NGOs before returning to NID as a research associate and visiting faculty.
He is currently enrolled in the MFA Design Criticism program at the School of Visual Arts. The place of critical thinking in design education remains his primary interest. He is fascinated by India’s changing design culture: informed by its diverse traditions and recent economic growth, but also responding to concerns of social equity and sustainability.
