Jakki Spicer
Jakki Spicer is Director of Development and External Relations for Places Journal.
Previously Jakki was Development Director of the Jewish Community Center of the East Bay and Project Supervisor of Foundation Relations at KQED; in addition, she has consulted for diverse arts, community and environmental organizations. She holds a B.A. from Hampshire College and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Cultural Studies and Comparative Literature from the University of Minnesota. At Minnesota, she taught courses on cinema and media culture, and served as book review editor at the journal Cultural Critique. She continues to write arts criticism for independent journals in print and online.
