John Mann

John Mann was born in the East, raised in the Midwest, and schooled in the West. Upon graduatng from the University of New Mexico with an MFA in Photography in 2002, he headed back east to start the cycle all over again. He now lives in Tallahassee, Florida, where he makes images and teaches at Florida State University.

His work has has been exhibited internationally at venues such as Phillips de Pury, Jen Bekman Projects, Privateer Gallery, Gallery Kunstler, JK Gallery, Rayko Gallery, the Newspace Center for Photography, The Print Center, Edge Zones Miami and the Griffin Museum of Photography. His work was featured in The Collector’s Guide to Emerging Art Photography published by the Humble Arts Foundation. A new book of his work, titled Thinner Air, was published in 2010.
