Josh Berta

Josh Berta is a graphic designer, currently working as Associate Director of Creativity at the branding agency Sullivan, in New York City. Prior to that he freelanced for firms such as Open, Landor, and Thinkso, and had full-time stints at Piscatello Design Centre and Pentagram. Since the summer of 2009 he has authored the tongue-in-cheek design criticism blog Pr*tty Sh*tty, where he offers snarky insights on the often overlooked experience of everyday design. Berta studied graphic design at the Portfolio Center in Atlanta, and has a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. His work has received awards from SEGD and Yupo Paper, and has been featured in many publications including Print, CMYK, The New York Times, the portfolio design book Flaunt, and most recently LogoLounge Volume 6.
