Linda Samuels
Linda C. Samuels is an architect, professor, visual artist and currently a PhD student in urban planning at UCLA, where she works as a Senior Researcher at cityLAB, an urban think tank in the department of Architecture and Urban Design. She is the founder of the Mobile Studio, a design, research and visual arts curriculum she developed while teaching at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, which focuses on the road as a sociopolitical American space. While at UNCC she also developed an Architecture as Activism course, which most re cently designed and built an outdoor public space for Community Works 945 — an arts, street soccer and gardening program for Charlotte's homeless. Samuels also writes a "cause of the week" blog.
