	<title><![CDATA[Responding to "Architecture School, 1990â2012: The Future That Is Now"]]></title>
	<description><![CDATA[I applaud Stan Allen's article and conclusion that what we need is a careful synthesis of the specific/local and the new global technologies. <br />
It reminds me of the teaching of Charles W. Moore who advocated much the same during the late 60's, 70's, and 80's.  I should note that Moore preceded the laudable Rural Studio accomplishments by establishing the Building Project at the Yale School of Architecture in 1965.  That program still exists as the 'Vlock Building Project', with first year students designing and building houses in New Haven's needier communities.  And through that project, year after year, the students struggle to synthesize local conditions with cutting edge technology.]]></description>
