When exactly did DO turn into FFFFound?

Eric, I like the self-portrait by “form engineer” Piet Zwart.
Last night, I was at the Guthrie & Seeger Annual Thanksgiving Concert at Carnegie Hall and Arlo Guthrie sang Tom Paxton’s “I’m Changing My Name To Fannie Mae.” Here is an earlier version he sang in October. Happy Thanksgiving!

These personal image collections don't seem to do much other than break up the flow of excellent writing here at DO. Perhaps the idea would work better in a personal blog or flickr page?

The "Today" images are visual feast. They have become part of the weekend for me like the NYT. Keep it coming.

I hope this type of pictorial becomes a regular feature of DO. A little more explanation for the graphically less informed would be helpful. Thank you, I enjoyed this visual interlude.

I just don't understand the benefit of seeing these images. Nice as they are, what are they offering? We all know there are countless places to find image collections, and many of you probably keep your own. I come to Design Observer for intelligent writing, and currently these image posts don't seem to be offering anything. A little more opinion in them would be great, otherwise it just becomes a magpie like process of collecting pretty things. It's a useful process for Eric I'm sure, but why do we need to see it?!

I come to DO for intellectual stimulation, and these weekly images fulfill that purpose. I also know that not everything I read or see on DO will appeal to me personally, and I exercise my ability to ignore, or change the channel.

Perhaps I too will exercise my ability to change the channel, but I'd just like to see a little more about why these images are chosen.

For the curious, in his first post, Eric described how and why he selects these images.
