Happy Birthday, Steven Heller!
A loyal friend and colleague. A devoted teacher and mentor. And the most prolific design writer of his—or probably any—generation.
We’re talking about our very own Steve Heller.
Today, July 7th, is his birthday, marking the conclusion of more than half a century of dedication to design, history, collecting, cartooning, education, publishing, printing, editing, illustration, and so much more.
(You want more? Here’s more.)
As Steve begins his seventh decade, we felt it was high time we said thank you, so we’re taking a moment to share the love. Herewith, some of the many friends and colleagues—from all over the globe—who shared it right back.
Happy Birthday, Steve. Here’s looking at the next seventy years. We can’t wait.
