S5E11: Renata Souza
Renata Souza Luque is the creator of Thomy, an insulin kit for children with Type 1 diabetes, and a 2017 graduate of Parsons School of Design.
Souza’s young cousin Thomas inspired this project, which began as her senior capstone at Parsons. Thomas was also her creative director:
If I had a question about my design in terms of, like, the shape or the appearance I would ask him and he would have a final say because he’s a kid. It’s hard designing for kids when you’re not a kid.
