If You Can’t Say Something Nice…

Best quote of the night on Project Runway, Season 6, Episode 1: “That’s too long a pause!” Said by Qristyl to Tim Gunn, as he takes a long, long look at the purple-and-print ruched satin creation that is her red carpet gown. Later questions are asked about her “taste level” but to me it didn’t look that much worse than Escada. And Qristyl is so spunky, I think she’ll be around for a while, unlike overly-emotional, pint-size 12-stepper Johnny, who got false praise for his red satin bedsheet due to tears.

Why I love this show: Mitchell explains smocking to Christopher. And then uses the technique for something far more risque than a little girl’s Easter dress.
