Irving Harper, Paper Wizard
Irving Harper worked for the George Nelson Associates design firm at the height of Mid-Century Modern innovation. While there, he created the Marshmallow Sofa for Herman Miller furniture and the Ball and Sunburst clocks for Howard Miller.
When he wasn’t designing some of the most iconic mid-century pieces of the day, Harper was creating beautiful paper sculptures. The stunning pieces he produced are the focus of a book out next week from Skira Rizzoli, Irving Harper Works in Paper.
