Over time, we will collectively share a powerful, prismatic view of a world that is both big and small; a world framed by crisis and fueled by hope. These pictures derive their power from their timeliness, their nod to history, their capacity to reveal aspects of unprecedented human triumph one moment, of profound personal tragedy the next. At a moment in history that will likely be remembered for its almost cavalier preoccupation with taking and sharing images, we will showcase the work of some of the world’s most gifted photographers—a select few who bear witness to a host of social, political, cultural, and global conditions with humanity, insight, and grace.
