Spawn of Gerrymander: Leif Parsons’ Illinois 4th

Leif Parsons suggests his interpretation of Illinois’ Fourth Congressional District could be titled “To the voting public …”

And that about sums it up. Roll Call picked this as one of the “five ugliest districts” in America a couple of years back—and that seems true in more ways than one.

Leif Parsons currently lives in Brooklyn and is working as an illustrator and artist (the latter under his middle name Low-beer). He has been shown on both coasts and has been published in many magazines and newspapers. Parsons has recently been focused on trying to find the line between looseness and tightness, between deliberate idea and spontaneous expression, between observation and imagination. He is also curious how many times he can draw himself naked and get it published in the New York Times (three so far). He is @leifandleif on Twitter and Instagram.
