Hillman Curtis Celebration Benefit
Hillman Curtis died on April 18, 2012. Debbie Millman penned a lovely rememberance of Hillman, whom she first met when she interviewed him on Design Matters. Beyond his family and close network of friends, his passing is still being felt throught the design community.
In response, friends and colleagues have organized an evening of his films on Thursday, June 21. Many friends will pay tribute: Milton Glaser, Debbie Millman, Stefan Sagmeister, Paul Sahre, Paula Scher, James Victore, to name a few. This event is curated by Gary Hustwit, Stefan Sagmeister, Ben Nabors and Ben Wolf, with support from the School of Visual Arts.
Proceeds from the evening will benefit the PS29 Arts Fund for the Carroll Gardens Elementary School attended by Hillman’s children, Jasper and Tess Curtis. Tickets are on sale here.
