Mill Rock Farm
IRIS — Integrated Immigrant and Refugee Services — is a New Haven-based organization that helps resettle families from around the world, and their food bank is only one of many of its volunteer-supported assets. Hoping to support this ongoing effort, one young farmer is spending his summer raising organic produce for this and two other local soup kitchens. (An admirable effort worth support, even if — in the interest of full disclosure — his parents are founding editors of Design Observer.) With 12 days to go, we’re hoping to raise awareness and enlist potential supporters for Mill Rock Farm.
