Free Desk Here is a collaboration initiative set up by Nick Couch to encourage collaboration between design professionals. The desks are available spaces at existing firms for professional creative workers to use for a specific period of time. As Nick puts it:

The idea is really about collaboration. It’s an opportunity for agencies to invite someone new into the studio. We’re launching the initiative with 15 top award winning agencies from London, New York, San Francisco, Berlin, Stockholm and Brussels. All of them share an understanding that you’ve got to constantly look beyond the wall of the agency for new ideas and way of working.

As of today, 20 free desks have been listed, mostly in Europe, a few further far afield. We’ll be watching to see where the first US desks appear.
