Thinking Like a Book Designer

Last fall, Michael Bierut and Jessica Helfand spent a day at Creative Live teaching students to think like a book designer. They discussed the various roles a designer plays in designing a book; historian, architect, author, humanitarian, performer, editor, and mechanic.
