Lisa Taddeo
Lisa Taddeo, a two-time Pushcart prize winning author wanted to write a book about desire. But quickly decided she didn’t want to write about men’s desires. Instead, she wanted to write solely abou women’s desires. And she ended up focusing on three women. She spent countless hours with them. She even moved into their towns, where she took in the scenery, the smells, and the sounds of their intimate lives. About a decade later, she came out with her book titled simply, Three Women. It has gotten a lot of attention, topped the New York Times bestseller list, and has started many conversations about female desire.
Debbie talks with Lisa about sex and desire. “That’s how sex differes from desire. With desire you fall in love with yourself in a way, as opposed to just having this physical feeling.”
