Tina + Ryan Essmaker
The Great Discontent is a magazine featuring interviews on beginnings, creativity, and risk. Co-founded by the Essmakers in 2011, editor-in-chief Tina and creative director Ryan have since expanded the magazine to include a print edition and a film series.
In January 2014, Tina and Ryan took the leap and left their day jobs to focus on The Great Discontent and other content-related projects via their creative studio No Little Plans.
Partners in business and life, Tina and Ryan Essmaker live, work, and play in New York City.
Previously The Great Discontent interviewed Debbie Millman and Steve Heller, among many others.
